Resources
To offer full transparency about our tuition, we have compiled a number of resources about our tuition programs, our lessons, what we cover, and more. Below, you will find our Program Guides, which outline what we go through at each year level and in each subject, as well as short samples of EduTest exams that we provide students within our Select Entry and Scholarship tuition lessons. Additionally, general information about the EduTest, NAPLAN, exam preparation, and study tips will be found on this page.
Program Guides
Program guides are how we structure our tuition programs. The guides cover the key topics and foundations of every subject, and are uniquely applied to build a course for every individual student that furthers their learning, based on their strengths and areas of improvement.

Sample EduTest, Scholarship Tests, Select Entry School Tests, and NAPLAN Testing
-
The EduTest is a test consisting of four or five parts (Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Numerical Reasoning, Mathematics, and optionally Written Expression) that schools use to gauge the academic performance of students applying for selective entry, scholarships, accelerated programs, and more. The test itself is run by EduTest, who collect and mark tests, then distribute final marks to schools that require each student’s results. More information about each part of the test can be found in our EduTest samples below.
The EduTest is run in three periods per year: term 1 & 2, term 3, and term 4. Students are only allowed to sit one EduTest in each of these periods, so if they are invited to multiple EduTests, they must attend only the first EduTest in that period.
-
We offer students practice EduTest and NAPLAN exams to help them gain confidence in these two tests.
To see if our resources are right for students, we offer EduTest samples for:
Verbal Reasoning
Reading Comprehension
Numerical Reasoning
Mathematics
These handmade samples reflect the types of questions on our EduTest practice tests and exams available to students of our selective entry and scholarship programs through our LMS Student Portal. All our EduTest and NAPLAN content is original, handmade, and kept up to date to ensure students have the highest quality materials.
-
Selective entry high schools such as Melbourne High School and Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School require students to complete an EduTest, usually around June in the year before entry. Therefore, all parts of the EduTest (Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Numerical Reasoning, and Mathematics) will be tested and are relevant.
-
Yes, they can, under our 8 week program. However, they cannot purchase exams only.
In addition to our 10 week program for selective entry and scholarship students, we offer an 8 week program with focused sessions covering only exam practice, giving students the flexibility to receive weekly 2 hour lessons with mock exams. This excludes the in-depth feedback, instruction, insights, and learning from the full 10 week program.
-
The EduTest is used to test students in grade 6 who are entering year 7 in schools with entry test requirements, as well as grades 8-10 for admission into selective entry high schools and scholarships for the following year.
The NAPLAN is taken by students in grades 3, 5, 7, and 9. It runs every year, usually around March.
-
Although the questions in the actual EduTest differ each period (there are three different EduTest testing periods per year: term 1 & 2, term 3, and term 4), common question types and patterns are often seen in each test which we emulate in our own practice tests. This means our practice tests are a good reflection of the difficulty level and general question types in the actual EduTest.
